At St Mary’s we strive to create a welcoming environment that embodies the love of Jesus. Through this, we seek to draw people from all backgrounds to celebrate and share our faith as Christs Church here in Burton Latimer.

Our Journey Forward

We are a church founded on scripture, community, and welcome. At St Mary’s we endeavour to be a rooted in Christ Jesus and formed by the traditions of the Church of England. We have a contemporary approach to our sung worship seeking to grow into a modern sanctuary for those exploring a faith in Jesus. Our prayer is that this fosters a sense of belonging for all who come.

Our Core Beliefs

Our church is built on love, scripture, tradition, welcome, hospitality and ministry to the Parish. In line with the love of Christ Jesus, we believe in fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued and heard. We commit to a warm welcome for all. We believe that all are made in the Image and likeness of God and therefore seek to understand and show compassion to others. This drives our mission to uplift all members of our congregation and parish as we seek to encourage their spiritual growth and community involvement.

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:
